Detritus
Friday, February 1 from 6-9 PM
The Cube (8 Howard Cook Rd., Roswell, NM)
As part of the on-going First Friday exhibition series The Cube presents Detritus, a display of repurposed by-products from the artistic process. Detritus is a light-hearted, yet possibly profound, investigation into the studio practice of five current Roswell Artist-in-Residence fellows. Possibly awaiting that fateful day when the artist will be struck with inspiration on how to use all those beer bottle-caps or fingernail clippings, the exhibit necessarily comments on the irrational aggregation of excess as a component of creation and a marking of time and process.
Participating artists in the event are Natasha Bowdoin, Derek Chan, Miranda Howe, Jessica Kirkpatrick, Ryder Richards, and Ven Voisey. Please join us at The Cube for light refreshments and heavy conversation.
